Waitoetoe Park

Yesterday Poutama went down to Waitoetoe Park to help spread mulch around the trees that Riverdale School planted in 2016!

We spread newspaper down between the trees and then dumped the mulch on top of it. This will help to stop the weeds from growing super fast and overtaking the trees.

We had a lot of fun wheeling wheel barrows, shovelling shovels, filling buckets, climbing hills and walking to and from school.

Poutama would like to take the time to thank our wonderful parents who came with us.

We all mucked in and worked well together!
